Homemade Sambal Belacan Sauce

Since Chinese New Year (CNY) is just around the corner,my mum will make Sambal every year used as condiment.Sambal is very popular in countries like Malaysia,Indonesia,Thailand and Singapore.The Sambal can keep fresh frozen for about 2-3 months.
Now,I'm going to show you how to make Sambal.

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 pieces belacan.
  • some green chillies.(depend personal taste and amount)
  • some red chillies.(depend on personal taste and amount)
  • some lime juices.
Preparation:

  1. fried the belacan until the colour changed about 15-20 minutes.
  2. cut the red chillies and green chillies in pieces.
  3. use blender to blend the green chillies and red chillies.
  4. then blend chillies with belacan and lime juices.
  5. after that,add some salt into it.
A delicious and nice Sambal has been done.=)
P.S If you add water or orange juices,it will not taste good,and won't be last longer.Lime juices is the best.
